Later, he would play in On Golden Pond, Cat on a Hat Tin Roof, and The Gin Game, among others. He received a Lifetime Achievement Tony Award in 2017.
Despite his success on stage, Jones will forever be remembered as the iconic voice of Darth Vader in the Star Wars motion picture series. Younger fans may recognize his baritone voice as the voice of Mufasa in The Lion King.
