Elevation Church, the Charlotte-based megachurch led by Steven Furtick, is reporting a continued year-over-year decline in tithes and offerings, even as its physical footprint expands.
According to the church’s 2025 annual report, Elevation recorded an astounding $88M in tithes and offerings. However, this reflects a steady decrease from $91M million in 2024 and $108M in 2023.
Personnel expenses remain the church’s largest financial commitment, totaling approximately $33M- about 38% of tithes and offerings, up from 35% the prior year.
Despite its financial downward shifts, Elevation continues to grow its physical presence.
The church now operates 20 campuses, including a new location in Summerville, South Carolina, which opened in January 2026. Additional campuses launched in recent months include Elevation Uptown, Elevation Greenville, and a newly established permanent facility for Elevation Raleigh.
In-person weekly attendance has remained relatively stable, with a slight dip from 17,373 in 2024 to 17,037 in 2025.
Digitally, Elevation maintains a significant global reach. The church reports approximately 92,500 live Sunday viewers, over 900,000 weekly YouTube views, and more than 1 million weekly television viewers. In total, sermons were streamed more than 108 million times in 2025, with "When God Says Let Go" emerging as the most-viewed message.
Its music ministry, Elevation Worship, also continues to dip slightly in streaming numbers. The group recorded more than 2.2 billion streams across platforms in 2025, down from 2.3 billion in 2024, with nearly 1 billion views coming from YouTube alone. Their album, When Wind Meets Fire, earned a Dove Award for Worship Album of the Year.
Its "Elevation Nights" tour drew nearly 200,000 attendees across 16 cities and is set to return in 2026.
In June 2023, Elevation Church formally withdrew from the Southern Baptist Convention. Though it did not publicly specify its reasons, the withdrawal came shortly after the denomination voted to remove two churches over the issue of women serving as pastors. Notably, Holly Furtick, co-founder and wife of Steven Furtick, is listed as a pastor within Elevation Church and regularly teaches.
Reflecting on two decades of ministry, Steven and Holly Furtick have emphasized that the church’s focus is on life transformation rather financial metrics alone.
