Gospel singer Tina Campbell and her husband Teddy Campbell are officially ending their marriage.
According to TMZ, Teddy, whose legal name is Glendon Theodore Campbell, filed for divorce in Los Angeles County on Monday, citing “irreconcilable differences,” as stated in legal documents obtained by the outlet.
The couple, who married in August 2000, reportedly separated in June 2024.
In the filing, Teddy requested that the court establish visitation arrangements for their two children and indicated that the issue of spousal support should be addressed at a later date.
Tina and Teddy have been candid in the past about challenges within their marriage, including Teddy’s admission of infidelity. Given that history, some may find it notable that he initiated the divorce proceedings.
In recent years, the couple had made several public appearances together, which gave the impression that they were working toward reconciliation. In 2021, they even collaborated on a Christmas album, further suggesting a renewed sense of unity.
Tina Campbell is widely known as one-half of the award-winning gospel duo Mary Mary, alongside her sister Erica Campbell. She has also released two solo projects, both of which received critical acclaim.
Teddy Campbell is an accomplished musician, best known for his work as a drummer, including his role in the house band on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.
As the family navigates this transition, many are keeping them and their children in their thoughts and prayers.
