Bishop Thomas Tyrone Tribbett Sr., father of Grammy-winning gospel artist Tye Tribbett, passed away on Saturday, June 21, 2025.
He was a revered figure in both his local church and broader faith community.
Bishop Tribbett faithfully served as Senior Pastor of El Bethel Apostolic Church in Camden, New Jersey, where he shepherded for many years.
Bishop Tribbett and his wife, Minister Neicy Tribbett raised 4 children: Tye Tribbett (aka, Thomas Tribbett, Jr), Thaddeus Tribbett, DeShantel Tribbett-Robinson, and DeMaris Tribbett-Toy.
Thaddaeus is part of the band "Soundcheck. DeMaris Tribbett-Toy sang in the gospel group, Greater Anointing.
