BMI (Broadcast Music, Inc.) celebrated the best in Gospel music on March 28th at the 2024 BMI Trailblazers of Gospel Music Awards in Atlanta, GA.

Gospel legend and evangelist Dorinda Clark-Cole was honored as a Trailblazer of Gospel Music- the highest honor of the night. She received the recognition for her illustrious music career as both a solo artist and as member of the iconic group, The Clark Sisters. Dorinda Clark Cole was visibly moved by the honor.

Jonathan McReynolds received the BMI Champion Award. It was the first time this accolade was presented at this ceremony. McReynolds received the award for his exceptional artistry and impact on Gospel music.

The highly anticipated BMI Gospel Song of the Year award went to "Kingdom" written by Kirk Franklin, Jonathan Jay, Chandler Moore and Jacob Poole.

Lucinda Moore and her song writing partner, Cedric Thompson, received a BMI Achievement Award for the hit traditional gospel song "Lord, I Hear You."

BMI's Gospel Songwriter of the Year was a three-way tie between Travis Greene, Kirk Franklin, and Tamela Mann. Franklin was honored for the songs "Bless Me" and "Kingdom."
Mann was honored for "Finished" and "He Did It For Me."
Greene won for "Finished" and "Tent Revival."
