The Legendary Clark Sisters are going to the Ivy League!
From April 13-14, the Yale Institute of Sacred Music will host the Grammy and Stellar Award winning group.
The Clark Sisters taught a Masterclass to students and other attendees on Thursday April 13th at Yale’s Greenberg Center. The Masterclass was part of a daylong symposium that explored the musical, spiritual, and cultural contributions of Dr. Mattie Moss Clark and the Clark Sisters.
Then on Friday April 14th, they will perform in concert. Twinkie will provide an organ solo.
The Clark Sisters are the highest-selling female gospel group in history.
They have always had a passion for education. Their mother, the iconic Mattie Moss Clark, received advanced training in classical music and choral singing.
The event at Yale highlighted the intersection of music and the black church.
