Sherri Shepherd and KevOnStage Win BIG at 2023 NAACP Image Awards

The NAACP Image Awards ceremonies have concluded with two rising stars receiving recognition.

Comedian Kevin Fredericks, known as KevOnStage, won for Outstanding Social Media Personality. Kevin's status has skyrocketed in recent years with his comedy videos. Kevin has over 1.5M followers on IG alone.

Sherri Shepherd actually won two NAACP Image Awards. Her new talk show, in its inaugural season, won for Outstanding Talk Series, beating out juggernauts such as the Tamron Hall Show and Jada Pinkett Smith's "Red Table Talk." S

herri and best girlfriend Kym Whitley also won for their podcast “Two Funny Mamas." Other nominees in the podcast category included Jemele Hill's "Unbothered" and Angie Martinez "IRL."

Other winners from the NAACP Image Awards included Angela Bassett for Entertainer of the Year and for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture. Quinta Brunson's "Abbott Elementary" swept the comedy categories. Viola Davis for Outstanding Actress in a Motion Picture. Will Smith, still recovering from his incident at the Oscars last year, won for Best Actor in a Motion Picture for the slavery picture "Emancipation.
