Nicki Minaj's new song “Blessings” featuring Tasha Cobbs-Leonard just reached the top spot on Billboard’s Hot Gospel chart.

The song is part of Nicki Minaj's new album PINK FRIDAY 2. It is her first new album in five years.

The gospel song "Blessings" received 3.1 million official U.S. streams and sold 3,000 downloads.

This is Nicki Minaj's second time on top of the Gospel Digital Song Sales charts (it's Tasha Cobbs Leonard's 10th time), but it's Minaj's first time on top of the Gospel Streaming Song charts.

This isn't the first time that the rap and gospel divas have collaborated. In 2017, they released “I’m Getting Ready,” which marked Nicki Minaj’s first Gospel feature. At the time of its release, there was some controversy as some gospel fans took issue with Leonard collaborating with Minaj who is known for songs with explicit language. Nevertheless, the song went on to great success and reached a new audience.

Tasha Cobbs Leonard is part of the Motown Gospel record label. She's won a Grammy, 15 Stellar Awards, and 9 Dove Awards. She'll be a part of the "One Hallelujah" Tour with Jekaln Carr, Erica Campbell, Israel Houghton, and Jonathan McReynolds, which kicks off in 2024.
