Gospel singers, Jonathan Nelson & Jason Nelson, announce the passing of their mother, Dr. Bessie Nelson

Dr. Bessie Nelson has passed away.
The family shared the news via joint message on social media.
They shared, "With humble hearts in agreement with the decision of God, The Nelson family announces the triumphant transition of Dr. Bessie Nelson. We are reassured that to be absent in the body is to be present with the Lord."
Dr. Bessie was the wife to Bishop James D. Nelson Sr., Founder of World Assemblies of Restoration in Maryland.
She and Bishop James D. Nelson, Sr. were married for over 60 years.
Together, they had 4 children: Gospel recording artists and twins, Jonathan and Jason Nelson; Bishop James D. Nelson Jr., Pastor of Destiny Christian Church in Baltimore, and their daughter, Janice.
Jonathan Nelson is the Senior Director of Worship at New Birth Missionary Baptist Church.
Jason Nelson is the Senior Pastor of The Tabernacle at Greater Bethlehem Temple in Baltimore.
Both Jonathan and Jason have won several accolades for their gospel music.
In addition, Dr. Bessie had a host of grandchildren.
Dr. Bessie Nelson was 88 years old.
While the family is requesting respect and privacy at this time, please keep them in your prayers during this difficult time.
