Gospel singer and actress, Koryn Hawthorne, is officially engaged!
In an exclusive to Essence magazine, the 25-year old Louisiana native revealed that her 27-year old fiance, Hunter Register, had proposed. The two have known each other since they were kids!
Koryn is best known for her smash gospel hit, "Won't He Do It," which garnered her a Dove Award, a Billboard Music Award, and a Grammy nomination.
Koryn burst onto the scene in 2015 as a finalist on the NBC talent competition show, "The Voice."
Since the show, the 25-year old has appeared OWN's Greenleaf and starred in Praise This alongside Chloe Bailey on the Peacock network.
Recently, in 2023, she released the single "Look at God," which reached the Top 10 Billboard US Gospel Charts.
Also in 2023, Koryn made the Inspirational Gospel Music Channel's Annual Stellar Awards Best Dressed list for her metallic hood ensemble.
Koryn told Essence, “What I’m looking forward to most about marrying Hunter is growing together. I can’t wait to see where God will take us because life is truly a journey."
