Celebration of Life Ceremonies have been announced for gospel singer, Norman Hutchins, who passed at 62

A giant within the gospel music industry has passed away.
Pastor and gospel singer, Norman Hutchins, passed away at the age of 62 on on June 5, 2025, according to a statement from his family.
Hutchins passed away at his home in California after a long battle with diabetes and kidney failure.
In 2014, he revealed that his wife Karen had donated a kidney for him.
Pastor Hutchins produced such gospel hits as "Nobody But You," "Battlefield," and "Spontaneous Praise, Vol. 1."
Pastor Hutchins was a GRAMMY nominated singer, best known for the songs "Jesus I Love You" and “God’s Got a Blessing (With My Name on It),” which become gospel music gospel classics.
Pastor Hutchins began his solo career in 1992 when he signed with Sparrow Records. He went on to release 10 albums across Sparrow, JDI, and IR Records.
In addition to his music career, Pastor Hutchins had served as pastor of Frontline Ministries in Dover, DE. and minister of music at the West Angeles Church of God in Christ in Los Angeles.
Celebratory arrangements have been made for Pastor Hutchins.
There will be a musical celebration on Wednesday, June 18th, starting at 7PM at Breathe of Life Seven Day Adventist in Inglewood, CA.
The official Homegoing service will take place on Friday, June 20th at 11AM at Love and Unity Christian Church of God in Christ in Compton, CA.
