Nearly a week after Bishop TD Jakes announced that he's stepping down from leading The Potter's House, Pastor Sheryl Brady of The Potter's House North Dallas publicly announced that the church is changing its name to THE BRIDGE FRISCO.

In a carefully worded press release by the church, The Bridge Frisco stated that the name change reflects the city it calls home and the mission that it has.

While it's unclear how The Bridge Frisco will connect to The Potter's House organization from an organizational and management standpoint going forward, the press release did re-iterate that it will remain "relationally" connected with The Potter’s House family of churches.

Despite the name change, Pastor Brady will continue to lead the church.

In addition, the press release stated that Pastor Brady will receive "full support" from founder Bishop T.D. Jakes and its Pastoral Leadership team going forward.

It is unclear what prompted the name change at this moment in time.

Pastor Sheryl Brady Brady was commissioned by Bishop Jakes to pastor The Potter's House of North Dallas roughly 15 years ago.

During the tenure of Pastor Sheryl Brady and her husband Bishop Joby Brady, the multi-racial, multi-cultural congregation has grown tremendously with a significant presence in Frisco, TX.

There's been no announcement from other Potter's House campuses (i.e., Denver and Fort Worth) on whether they intend to follow suit with a formal legal name name.
