The 37th Stellar Awards ceremony will take place in Atlanta, Georgia on July 15th & 16th. The Stellar Awards is the longest-running African American awards program on TV.
This year's show will be hosted by two young singing dynamos- Jekalyn Carr and Kierra Sheard.
The theme for this year will be “Renew, Revive, Rejoice.”
Leading the nomination pack is Cece Winans who garnered 8 nominations, including Artists of the Year, Song of the Year, Female Artist of the Year, and Album of the Year.
Following CeCe Winans are Tamela Mann and Pastor Mike Jr. with 8.
Jonathan McReynolds + Mali Music and Todd Dulaney racked up 7 noms.
Kelontae Gavin and Maverick City Music each received 5 nominations.
Choirmaster and Gospel legend Ricky Dillard will receive the James Cleveland Lifetime Achievement Award. He's also nominated for 5 awards.
Music producer Aaron Lindsey will receive the Aretha Franklin Icon award.
Chicago-based Central City Productions, Inc. (CCP) produces the Stellar Group Music Awards. It is a distributor of original programming to television & cable networks.
The Stellar Gospel Music Awards Show is executive produced by Don Jackson & produced and directed by Michael A. Johnson. Jennifer Jackson is the Executive in Charge of Productions.
The Stellar Awards recognizes the year's best performances in the gospel music genre, honors gospel music icons, and acknowledges the accomplishments of individuals instrumental in advocating for the gospel music industry.
The show will air on BET and in various markets in syndication.
