Ian was just 26 years old and Regina King's only child.
In a heartbreaking statement through People magazine, actress and director Regina King revealed that her only son, Ian Alexander Jr., had died by suicide. Ian's death was officially ruled a suicide by the Los Angeles County Coroner.
Ian was Regina King's only son with her ex-husband, record producer, Ian Alexander Sr.
Ian had recently celebrated a birthday on the Wednesday before his death. Sadly, Regina King had also recently celebrated her 51st birthday a few days prior on January 15th.
Regina told People, "Our family is devastated at the deepest level by the loss of Ian."
